Nectar d’ erable (French for sap of the maple tree)
is the sap that
comes out of the maple tree. After
the sap has been collected, it is put through a reverse osmosis machine that
concentrates the sugars by removing the water. The concentrated sap is then boiled to make
pure maple syrup. The sap that had the sugars removed is then further purified and
bottled.
Most people that have tried Nectar d’ erable were
expecting a sweet flavor, but are surprised to find that the taste compares
to an elite bottled water.
